Peter Zegler Earns Official PWNA Certifications
Peter Zegler of Hamptons Power Wash was certified by the Power Washers of North America (PWNA) in the areas of Wood Restoration, Roof Washing, House Washing and Flat Work for 2016-2017.
Peter Zegler joined an elite group of power washing contractors by obtaining PWNA certification and proving his commitment to providing customers with the highest level of service using the best and safest practices, said PWNA President John Nearon.
PWNA certification requires taking an in-depth class led by a certified and experienced instructor. The cleaning classes (except for the environmental course) each cover the background of that particular service, the equipment needed, the cleaning process, water reclamation, safety, among other things. While each certification class goes into the environmental and water reclamation requirements for that particular type of cleaning, the environmental certification course teaches a broader scope of how to ensure contractors are in compliance with the Clean Water Act.
After taking the certification class, students must undergo a comprehensive test, which requires scoring at least 80 percent to obtain certification. To maintain certification, certified companies must remain PWNA members in good standing and also retest every two years to ensure they remain up-to-date on the latest technologies and practices. Additionally, companies must show proof of liability insurance before they can be certified.
Founded in 1992, the Power Washers of North America is a non-profit organization and the recognized leader in developing and communicating the highest standards in ethical business practices, environmental awareness, and safety through continuing education and active representation of the membership. PWNA educated and trained contractors raise the level of professionalism and value to their customers.
